McCollum Family Vineyard began as a love story between a pair of college students over a bottle of wine. Their shared appreciation grew into a love of family, community, wine and the land, of connection and legacy. While professional basketball has taken CJ and Elise McCollum around the world, the Yamhill-Carlton AVA within Oregon’s Willamette Valley is where the McCollums always return: with their family, to their estate vineyard and the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir vines that form the heart of McCollum Family Vineyard.
What began with McCollum Heritage 91 – wines sourced from exceptional vineyards within Oregon’s Willamette Valley – continues with McCollum Family Vineyard: estate-driven wines rooted in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA.
Our wines are inspired by the bottles the McCollums tasted in their early days, spending afternoons travelling the country roads and tasting the wines of Willamette Valley. Aromatic Chardonnays redolent of stone fruits and balanced with lovely minerality; site-focused, juicy Pinot Noirs that are silky smooth and balanced; bright Rosés for long afternoons that slip into evenings and Sparkling wine for everyday celebrations. McCollum Family Vineyard is a living expression of CJ and Elise’s commitment to building an enduring legacy for their family and the Willamette Valley. Comprised of 318 acres in the renowned Yamhill-Carlton AVA, the former Christmas tree farm is now a thriving vineyard with 56 acres planted to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Vineyard ownership provides freedom and control over their grape sources, allowing for both consistency and innovation, guided by the sustainability principals of LIVE Certified Farming and Salmon-Safe certification.
While plans are underway for a tasting room, culinary gardens and more, guests may soon enjoy seasonal tasting experiences in the vineyard, by appointment.
