CJ & Elise McCollum were in their early 20s when they enjoyed their first taste of truly exceptional wine. As so often happens, it was a bottle received as a gift that led to the “aha!” moment. Their curiosity sparked that day only deepened years later, while CJ was playing in Portland. Together, they began exploring Oregon’s wine country and building a collection of their own. What started as quiet afternoons in tasting rooms became a lasting appreciation for the precision and character of Willamette Valley wines.
McCollum Heritage 91 was introduced in 2020 to capture the McCollums’ personal expression of, and deep enthusiasm for, Willamette Valley wines. Sourced from a collection of distinctive vineyard sites and crafted in partnership with the highly respected team at Adelsheim Vineyards, the wines reflect the diversity of the AVA while celebrating the character that defines Oregon wine country.
91 Points Wine Enthusiast: New Orleans Pelicans star CJ McCollum has joined the ranks of NBA stars making wine. White peaches and nectarines dominate an aromatic set that also has a trace of peppery dried nasturtiums. Flavor-wise, this wine is a successful 3-point shot—strawberries, lime and white grapefruit. A crisp texture, with brisk acidity.
93 Points Decanter: A collaboration between NBA shooting guard CJ McCollum and stalwart Willamette Valley producer Adelsheim, crafted from six different sites in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. A wine reflective of the beautiful 2021 vintage with rose petals dominating the aromatics buoyed by concentrated blue fruits, huckleberry and clove. An elegantly balanced palate with ample ripeness shows candied strawberries, cloves and turned earth minerality.
93 Points Decanter: Mineral-draped juicy lemons leap from the glass with salty sea air and smoky grilled lemon peel. The Chardonnay is a barrel selection from various Adelsheim Vineayrds within the Chehalem Mountains AVA, Boulder Bluff and Bryan Creek Vineyards: chipped flint, smoky grilled lemons, white flowers, and tea leaves complement bright saline aromas. The palate is electric and mineral-driven. Cardamom spice frames smoky citrus flavours and a lingering streak of crushed stone minerality. Juicy lemons, green mangoes, and thirst-slaking acidity carry a long, lively finish.

The collection is available exclusively through distribution and includes Willamette Valley Chardonnay, Rose, a collection of Pinot Noirs and a non-vintage Blanc de Blancs.
