91 Points Wine Enthusiast: New Orleans Pelicans star CJ McCollum has joined the ranks of NBA stars making wine. White peaches and nectarines dominate an aromatic set that also has a trace of peppery dried nasturtiums. Flavor-wise, this wine is a successful 3-point shot—strawberries, lime and white grapefruit. A crisp texture, with brisk acidity.
93 Points Decanter: A collaboration between NBA shooting guard CJ McCollum and stalwart Willamette Valley producer Adelsheim, crafted from six different sites in the Chehalem Mountains AVA. A wine reflective of the beautiful 2021 vintage with rose petals dominating the aromatics buoyed by concentrated blue fruits, huckleberry and clove. An elegantly balanced palate with ample ripeness shows candied strawberries, cloves and turned earth minerality.
93 Points Decanter: Mineral-draped juicy lemons leap from the glass with salty sea air and smoky grilled lemon peel. The Chardonnay is a barrel selection from various Adelsheim Vineayrds within the Chehalem Mountains AVA, Boulder Bluff and Bryan Creek Vineyards: chipped flint, smoky grilled lemons, white flowers, and tea leaves complement bright saline aromas. The palate is electric and mineral-driven. Cardamom spice frames smoky citrus flavours and a lingering streak of crushed stone minerality. Juicy lemons, green mangoes, and thirst-slaking acidity carry a long, lively finish.
